What unique selling points do you offer?
We have our tech support in-house, not overseas. We’ve done the overseas ‘thing’ in order to save money but in the end the customer suffers. When your entire team is in one building, and they’re able to collaborate on help desk tickets, chats or even a phone calls from the customer, it just works better. Sure you can chat with your overseas team, but having the ‘face to face’ contact of an in-house team is best.
Describe the services you offer?
That’s a great question! For years people thought of it as simply ‘space on the Internet’ and when we started back in 1999 that’s basically what it was. But it has evolved over time. With all the new control panels, virtual environments, Windows, SPAM/Virus filtering, Ecommerce software I see it more of a software as a service. We provide the working environment with backups, firewalls, and software updates, and now we have tools that can completely run a business. Apollo Hosting offers over 40 extra tools, and with the open source software boom, it is limitless what you can do with your web space now.
Describe your target market?
We target small to medium sized businesses. We have a great upgrade path for businesses starting out. Our customers might start out slow by going with the Shared Hosting, and then move up to VPS and then finally to Dedicated. We have many new customers now who go straight to the Dedicated Server because of its security and reliability as compared to a shared environment. Others are content to stay right in the shared environment. But, because we don’t just offer one super low priced shared hosting account promising the sky to new customers just to get them to sign up and then offer no real upgrade path, we mainly get serious business owners as customers.
How is your company planning for the future?
Well, we have been here for almost 10 years now. I like to think we will be growing just like we are now. We do offer a new VOIP PBX System now which we started just 2 years ago. We offer 24/7 chat, and 7 to 7 CST phone support 7 days a week. Help desk tickets are answered 24/7 as well.
