Gemstream, Inc. was founded in March 2000 as a shared hosting service provider. Over the past two years we have provided customers from 48 states and over 50 countries with our hosting service. Gemstream offers basic, eCommerce hosting and reseller hosting. As of May 2002 we serve over 350 resellers from the United States and around the world. Our strong reseller base is a testament to the reliability of services. We provide a low price point for new resellers to get started and lasting value for those who grow on our network.
What unique selling points do you offer?
Gemstream’s combination of low prices and reliable service sets it apart from other companies. Our service is more personalized than any large host can reasonably offer, while our prices are less expensive than any small host can afford. Gemstream's unique position is the combination of great service and low price that make for a tremendous value.
Describe the services you offer?
Web hosting is a service of delivering content over the Internet. It is comprised of disk space on a server, software applications, a connection to the Internet, and technical support to keep it all running smoothly. To this basic definition Gemstream adds a user-friendly control panel, lots of optional online tools, and friendly customer service to assist both new and experienced webmasters.
Describe your target market?
Our primary target market is web hosting resellers, but we offer a full range of shared hosting solutions on both the wholesale and retail models. Our Reseller Program has aided hundreds of resellers to start small and grow successful businesses. This experience has assisted us in refining our Reseller Program to fit the needs of both those new to web hosting and those with more experience.
How is your company planning for the future?
In 5 years I expect Gemstream will continue to provide a superior level of service as well as the latest advances software and hardware technology can offer. Over the next few years I think customers will continue to be impressed with the availability of new online tools to make running their sites easier and more enjoyable. Overall we’ll continue to expand the benefits of online computing to our customers and our reseller’s end-users.

How do you support your customers?
Gemstream offers technical support through email, an online knowledgebase, and several manuals. Our Support staff is constantly updating the online resources to provide our customers with the most current information. Our resellers are then able to pass this information on to their end-users and reduce their own volume of support questions.
